THE LOVED ones of the two women and a six-year-old boy killed by a man's dangerous driving will have just under a month to wait to see if the killer's 'lenient' sentence will be reviewed.
Joe-Lewis Tyler was jailed for 18 years at Worcester Crown Court on Monday (August 5) after his dangerous driving caused the deaths of three people on the A44 in Spetchley Road near Worcester.
For many Worcester News readers, as well as the friends and family of the crash victims, the sentence was simply not long enough to reflect the loss of three lives.

The Attorney General's office has now confirmed to the Worcester News it has received a request for Tyler's sentence to be reconsidered under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
Only one referral is needed for a case to be considered by the Law Officers.
The officers will have 28 days from the initial sentencing, (Monday, August 5), to consider the case and decide whether they should ask the Court of Appeal to review the sentence.
That means a decision on whether the Court of Appeal will review Tyler's case or not will be reached by Monday, September 2.
Tyler, aged 34, was behind the wheel of a 2004 BMW 3 series when he crashed into the white Ford Mondeo taxi, hitting the driver's side of the car as it emerged from a junction.
The crash killed six-year-old Leo Painter, child escort Claire Adkins, 39, and driver, Courtney Hemming, 26 who all suffered multiple injuries on February 22.
Both Tyler and his passenger, Miles Smith-Green, also suffered serious injuries.
The sentence imposed by Judge James Burbidge KC means Tyler must serve a minimum of two-thirds of the sentence and has been banned from driving for 17 years.
He must also sit an extended driving retest if he is to get behind the wheel again.
In court, Judge Burbidge explained he went 'significantly' outside the sentencing guidelines (a starting point of 12 years) to reflect the gravity of the incident which had resulted in three deaths.
The judge gave him a 20 per cent discount in the length of the sentence to reflect his guilty plea.
Tyler was driving at 90mph on a 50mph road when the crash happened.
This came after he drank five pints of lager and four shots at the West Midlands Tavern in Lowesmoor in Worcester.
