A HIDDEN-gem cafe people often walk past has been described as serving food "as good as anything in Greece".

The Sweet Greeks has been described in many online reviews as Worcester's hidden gem cafe since it officially opened in November 2022.

Many customers have shared their delight on TripAdvisor after discovering the eatery which has led to it being dubbed with the title.

One reviewer wrote: "What a find, a gem.

"Absolutely fabulous lunch, the food, the drinks, the people were all simply fantastic.

"Mam’s moussaka was as good as anything we’ve had in Greece and so much better than most."

Another added: "A hidden gem in the city of Worcester.

"The staff took their time to tell us about each dish, and the presentation was superb; we wanted to jet off to Greece straight after to indulge in more of the same delights."

"We think people consider our café a hidden gem as it is easy to miss if you walk down Mealcheapen, but once you are in it’s almost as if you escape from the day-to-day life and feel like you are in Greece," they said.

"Customers seem to really enjoy the laidback atmosphere and the service which we really put emphasis on.

The cafe has a five-star rating on Google and TripAdvisor.

It offers organic coffee, traditional pastries, homemade cakes and Greek/Mediterranean food.

The eatery also offers Saturday Greek Nights, where customers can select from a tasting menu and watch a Greek dance show. 

"Our food is loved by our customers, and whilst we can’t tell you the secret as to how it is so tasty, we can confirm we put a lot of love into it.

"That is the most important ingredient for a good dish."
