SHOCKING before and after pictures show the transformation of a well-used roundabout that urgently needed improvements.

The Briar Mill Roundabout in Droitwich had become worse for wear over the past two years with several potholes appearing and being patched up.

Residents frequently use the roundabout to get to and from the Westlands estate and to drop off and collect children from Droitwich Spa High School.

Councillor Richard Morris noticed the issue while driving around the area and decided to report it to Worcestershire County Council.

"It is a very busy roundabout and the main access to a number of schools, our leisure centre, and several residential areas."

Worcestershire County Council had waited until the six-week summer holidays to complete the work to avoid disruption.
