Access to Wychavon’s public toilets has got better for people with disabilities, thanks to new Changing Places facilities.
Lido Park, in Droitwich Spa, and Broadway Activity Park both now have dedicated spaces, designed to give people with a variety of disabilities more support than a standard accessible toilet would offer.
They feature a ceiling hoist, adjustable height bench and extra room.
The development was funded by a £210,000 government grant that also funded the toilets in Oat Street, Evesham.
Out of Wychavon’s public toilets, nine out of 11 now have these improved facilities, serving every town in the district including Broadway.
People can find their nearest improved toilet by visiting their website.
Cllr Beverley Hardman, executive board member for Boosting Natural Capital on Wychavon District Council, said: "We’re incredibly proud of the completion of the latest Changing Places facilities which means residents and visitors with complex care needs can now use our loos with dignity, independence and peace of mind."
