TWO people were injured after a crash closed a road through a Worcestershire village.
A man in his 20s and another in his 50s were injured after a van crash on the A44 at Doddenham, Broadwas, near Worcester.
One of them had to be extricated from the vehicle by the fire service.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 9.03 on August 6 to a road traffic collision on the A44 between Broadwas and Doddenham.
"The incident involved a car and van with one person extricated from the car by fire service personnel using hydraulic tools.
"The vehicles were made safe, and two male casualties, one in his 20s and one in his 50s, were handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who attended along with police.
"The A44 was closed in both directions due to the incident, which was marked as pending closure at 9.54pm."
