A MAN has been injured after he was hit by a car which failed to stop in a Worcester street.

The incident happened at around 5pm yesterday (August 3) on Southfield Street in the Arboretum in Worcester when the pedestrian was hit by a car which did not stop.

The car, believed to be a grey Peugeot, hit the man and failed to stop resulting in minor injuries for the pedestrian. 

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We are asking for the public’s help following an incident in Worcester yesterday (Saturday August 3) where a car was in collision with a pedestrian and failed to stop.

"Emergency services attended the scene where it is believed a grey Peugeot estate car was in collision with a man on Southfield Street, Worcester at around 5pm.

"The injured man was assessed by medical staff and treated for minor injuries.

"We are keen to speak to any eyewitnesses who might have seen this incident or anyone with dashcam footage from their vehicle."
