'OVER the moon' staff are celebrating a day nursery receiving a 'Good' rating following its latest Ofsted inspection.

Busy Bees Day Nursery in Warndon, which is open all year round, was given the positive rating following a graded Ofsted inspection carried out on June 25.

Inspectors rated the nursery 'Good' across all key areas at the day nursery including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, and leadership.

Centre director Shelley Southall said: "We are over the moon to receive a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted.

"It’s thanks to their dedication and unwavering support that we are celebrating our ‘Good’ Ofsted.

"This is a huge team effort and we are looking forward to continuing to build on the solid foundation of quality we have in place, ensuring we can continue to provide every child with the best start in life."

Busy Bees caters for children aged from three months to five years old, and the Ofsted report highlights that "older children access the curriculum confidently," whilst "babies have lots of space to develop their physical skills."

In terms of Busy Bees' care provision, the report states: "For the most part, staff create a positive learning atmosphere that helps children to flourish in their development."

Highlighting areas where the nursery does particularly well, the Ofsted inspection found that leaders at the centre are "knowledgeable and passionate", whilst the children's curriculum is delivered in a manner that helps them develop their knowledge whilst they grow.

Furthermore, the report states that: "Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well."

However, Ofsted also remarked that staff at Busy Bees need to be provided with the "focused support they require in order to help enhance their skills and improve outcomes for all children."

In February this year, Ofsted carried out a regulatory visit of the centre following concerns that the nursery was "not meeting some of the requirements".

As a result, Busy Bees in Warndon was required by Ofsted to take certain actions by March 8, 2024, which were met successfully and led to Ofsted carrying out its most recent inspection of the centre.
