Families across the county are hunting for memorable days out this summer.

So with the school holidays and warm weather in full swing, National Trust properties could be high on people's lists of places to visit.

There are plenty of historic properties to explore in Worcestershire and its surrounding counties, and some of those have a family focus too - with facilities that are perfect for entertaining the kids.

Here are four National Trust properties to explore with the family.

Brockhampton

The 1,700 acre Brockhampton estate is home to a medieval manor house and the largest orchard in National Trust's collection. The diverse range of trails are a perfect way to see the estate in all its glory and take in sweeping views across the Malvern Hills.

Blending tunnels and stepping logs, the orchard play trail is a firm favourite amongst Brockhampton's youngest visitors.

Croome

Just nine miles from Worcester, Croome is home to a grand mansion, expansive grounds and former World War II airbase RAF Defford.

The RAF-themed playground and natural play area provide plenty of opportunities for Croome's youngest visitors to burn off some energy.

Hanbury Hall

Set amongst 400 acres of parkland, Hanbury Hall is a National Trust gem. The impressive country home is surrounded by manicured gardens and an orangery that's ready to explore.

The adventure playground is fully equipped to enable kids to climb, swing, and slide to their heart's content, whilst the Summer of Play event provides further fun and games over the summer.

Croft Castle

Built in the 17th century, the impressive Croft Castle is situated near the English-Walsh and surrounded by 1,500 acres of peaceful woods, parkland, and farmland.

Croft Castle's youngest visitors will enjoy the castle-themed play area, whilst adventurous kids can swing and climb their way through the natural play area.
