STAFF at a high street shop were "thrilled" when England superstar Jude Bellingham popped in during a visit to a Worcestershire town.

The Real Madrid footballer, who hails from Stourbridge, recently visited Bromsgrove town centre on a rainy Saturday afternoon, chatting to fans and posing for photographs.

Whilst shopping on High Street, the 21-year-old visited the town's Boots store where he took selfies with delighted members of staff and customers.

Simone Chatwin, the store manager at the Bromsgrove High Street shop said: “We were very lucky to be visited by Jude and his mum whilst they were out shopping.

"The team were thrilled to welcome Jude into our store, he was friendly and took time to have lots of selfies with team members and customers.

"It was a lovely experience for the whole Boots team and our Bromsgrove customers.”

Harry Medleycott, aged 16, who is a customer advisor at Boots said: “What started as an ordinary day soon turned extraordinary when Jude walked in.

"As a keen football supporter, I couldn't believe I had the privilege to serve Jude Bellingham and his mum, both of whom were very friendly and chatty. Best day ever".

Lewis Maron, age 17, customer advisor at Boots said: “Jude took time with every single person who asked for photos with no hesitation, it shows how humble he is despite him being one of the best players in the world.”

Kiran Bahia, who is a trainee pharmacist, added: “Jude was very sweet – he even took time out for a little conversation.”

Jude was spotted using a quirky tropical-themed umbrella as he walked down High Street on the day (July 20).

He recently returned back to the UK after playing in the Euro Final in Berlin, where England were beaten 2-1 by Spain.

Jude scored two incredible goals during the tournament – helping England to secure its place in the final.
