The Red Arrows will be flying over Worcester in August - here's a list of the best places to see them and take pictures.
The aerobatic team will be passing through the city on Friday, August 9 on their way to the Blackpool Air Show.
According to military-airshows.co.uk, the planes will be flying over the southern part of the city at around 5.03pm.
Best places to watch the Reds Arrows fly over Worcester:
1. Near Powick Bridge:
The bridge is located on the outskirts of the city and is almost directly underneath the planned flightpath of the Red Arrows.
Though the bridge is currently closed, the sides of the river offer a quieter approach to viewing the planes as they fly over the city.
It was closed in February after part of the 15th-century bridge collapsed due to damage caused by flooding.
2. The Ketch Viewpoint:
Normally used as an excellent place to view the Malvern Hills, on August 9 the space will have people visit for another reason.
Although near the busy A4440, the spot offers views over the River Severn while you wait for the arrival of the Red Arrows.
The Ketch Viewpoint is also ideally placed almost directly underneath the flightpath of the planes.
3. The public footpath along the River Teme:
Popular with dog walkers in Lower Wick, the footpath might be a bit off the beaten track but it should be less crowded than the other locations on this list.
The footpath offers clear views of the skies and whilst slightly further away from the planned flightpath, you should still be close enough to get a good picture as the planes fly past.
Depending on the weather, the pathway could be quite muddy so remember to bring your wellies and umbrella if it has rained.
