A WORCESTER road was closed after a 'deliberate' fire near to a city pub.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 5.06am this morning (Tuesday, July 30) to a small car fire on Lichfield Avenue.
An eyewitness told the Worcester News the fire was near to the Punch Bowl Inn.
The car was well alight forcing emergency services to have to close the road.
Police were called as fire crews suspected this was a deliberate ignition.
The blaze was extinguished using a hose reel jet and there were no casualties.
At 6.21am, the incident was marked as pending closure.
