A MAN has died in a serious crash in Worcestershire after three men were arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.
The 36-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of a car crash near the Badsey Road junction on the A46 yesterday (Saturday).
Three men, aged 29, 34 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and driving under the influence.
All three remain in police custody as enquiries continue.
The incident involved a black BMW 330 D Sport, which left the road before colliding with a hedgerow.
Emergency services closed the road for several hours after the incident at around 5.30pm in Evesham.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers investigating a fatal collision on the A46 in Worcestershire are appealing for witnesses.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or was in the area around the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage, is asked to email Serious Collision Investigations Unit on sciusouth@westmercia.police.uk.
"Alternatively, if you do not feel comfortable speaking with the police, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
