A HOT air balloon "nearly hit a village hall" after landing unexpectedly in a field.
The balloon flew over Rushwick when it unexpectedly landed this morning (Sunday) near a fence on Bransford Road, near Worcester.
A neighbour said they saw the blue, black and white balloon narrowly miss Rushwick Village Hall.
It landed at 8.20am.
The eyewitness said: "It narrowly came down and nearly hit the village hall."
According to The British Balloon and Airship Club, pilots should select a landing field that should cause the least possible inconvenience to a farmer.
Particular care should be taken during the spring and summer months when standing crops, including long grass for making hay or silage, cover large areas of the countryside.
The Code of Conduct says pilots should also ensure that the ground below and ahead is clear of livestock, overhead power lines, buildings or other property that could be damaged.
