A RUBBISH fire broke out in a large green skip and had to be tackled by a fire crew.
The fire, which started in a skip in Hanley Road in Upton at 9.12pm, was brought under control by firefighters from Upton.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was 'in a large green waste container skip, around 7m by 4m by 3m'.
The fire was extinguished using one main jet. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots. There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.
The incident was marked as pending closure at 10.09pm.
