RISING costs and a lack of footfall have led the owners of a city centre coffee shop to announce it is set to close after a year.
But the trio of brothers behind The Coffee Nook said they have no regrets about the decision calling it a privilege to be able to follow their dreams.
Adam, James and Steve Law set up the coffee shop in Foregate Street in December but said the doors would close for good on Sunday, September 8.

A social media statement said: "We were so excited to have our own coffee shop and we’ve loved serving each and every one of our customers.
"It’s been a privilege to be able to have a crack at something we’ve talked about for so many years.
"But the reality is, in the relatively short time we’ve been open our costs have continuously risen and the demand just hasn’t been at a level to make this business sustainable.
"Having never done anything like this before, we didn’t quite know what to expect.
"We have no regrets; we gave this thing a go, but we’ve had to accept that it hasn’t worked out on this occasion.
"Rest assured our love for coffee is stronger than ever, we’ll just spend our weekends supporting other local independents rather than serving them."
The post also thanked all the staff who worked for them, the customers and their landlord, who they said had been 'unbelievably supportive' during the decision.
One customer replied: "Risk is better than regret, I am so proud of you guys and what you built, you will always be the best coffee shop in Worcester."
Although it will continue to trade until September 8, the shop's opening times will be changing from Monday, August 5.
Coffee lovers will be able to visit between 8.30am and 4pm on Monday, Thursday and Friday, but it will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The remaining Saturdays will see the Coffee Nook open between 9am and 4pm, and it will close an hour earlier on Sundays.
The Coffee Nook was previously home to Steamhouse Bakery and an estate agent.
