The National Grid has partnered up with a campaign group to give communities more access to warm and welcoming spaces.
Partnering with Warm Welcome, the two organisations aim to tackle fuel poverty and create better-connected societies in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, a supporter of the partnership, said: "This partnership with National Grid Electricity Distribution is significant.
"It will serve as a catalyst for change, encouraging more businesses to support the ‘Warm Welcome for All’ pledge."
The new alliance will also create volunteering opportunities for National Grid employees.
