Worcestershire County Cricket Club has announced Droitwich Spa Hospital as their preferred healthcare partner.

It brings benefits such as quick access to the hospital's imaging team, where players can get scanned at short notice and have results within 24 to 48 hours after a game or training session.

The fast service ensures an injury is diagnosed early, allowing the club's medical team to act immediately.

Located in the heart of Droitwich Spa town centre, the hospital, which is part of Circle Health Group, is just seven miles from the club's Visit Worcestershire New Road ground.

Aside from imaging services, players will also have access to advanced physiotherapy services at the hospital.

Treatments such as shockwave therapy and advanced hand therapy, which are key in injury recovery, are available to help players return to their top form sooner.

Equipped with facilities that include MRI and CT scanners, digital x-ray and ultrasound, the 36-bed private hospital is well-suited to meet the team's medical needs.

Claire Davenport, executive director at the hospital, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Worcestershire County Cricket Club, they have such a presence in the county and are extremely well supported by the local community.

"We wish them all the very best for this season and are always happy to help their players, as and when required."

Joe Tromans, head of commercial and partnerships at the club, added: "We are excited to partner with Droitwich Spa Hospital, ensuring our players have access to top-tier medical and physiotherapy services.

"This collaboration is crucial for the well-being and performance of our team, allowing us to respond swiftly to injuries and maintain our players' fitness throughout the season.

"We look forward to a successful partnership that will benefit both our club and the local community."
