A donation from a Worcester housebuilder has helped a local school pay tribute to their 'incredible' teachers.

Redrow Midlands presented a donation of £250 to Mercian Educational Trust, who run Honeywell Primary School.

The donation will be used to provide gifts for teachers and other members of staff who have gone the extra mile for their students.

The Trust has allocated the funds to create 'wellbeing' packs for employees, including teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors, and office workers.

These packs will contain a range of items designed to promote relaxation and wellness, such as luxury soaps, chocolates, lip balm, bookmarks, and guided meditations.

CEO of Mercian Educational Trust, Dafydd Lawday, said: "These are people our pupils see every day and they have an incredible impact on their lives.

"We believe they deserve recognition and appreciation for their hard work, especially considering the challenges they have faced in the past year.

"We want to thank Redrow for their generous £250 donation.

"The funds will not only help us bring joy to teachers but will also serve as a reminder of the invaluable role they play in shaping our society."

Redrow Midlands, who are building new homes on Bromyard Road under the scheme 'Kensington Gate', shared their thoughts on the donation.

Sales director Elaine Cartwright said: "We were delighted to be able to support Mercian Educational Trust to create gift packs for their excellent teachers.

"We are passionate about supporting the next generation and those who teach them the skills they need to live happy and fulfilling lives.

"We're very proud to be part of this wonderful community in Worcester and being involved in helping local schools to thrive.

"We look forward to continuing to support the pupils and teachers at Honeywell Primary School in their future endeavours."
