A WOMAN was rescued from the river after the emergency services including boat crews were alerted following concern for her welfare.
Police, the fire service and the ambulance service attended the scene of the incident in Diglis in Worcester this morning (Tuesday).
Witnesses reported seeing emergency crews on blue lights rush towards the Diglis Bridge in Worcester shortly before 9am.
Police confirmed the woman was 'safe and well', was assessed by the ambulance service and had sustained no injuries.
It is understood she was able to get out of the water herself with the assistance of police and the fire service.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to Diglis Lane in Worcester this morning at around 8.50am following a report of someone in the river.
