A SEVERE fire broke out at a home near Worcester with fire crews from across the two counties called to tackle the blaze.
Crews from Worcester, Malvern, Leominster and Bromyard were called to Ankerdine Hill in Knightwick at about 7pm on Monday (July 22).
Additional crews from Kingsland, Upton-upon-Severn and Bromsgrove later attended the scene to support.
The blaze, in the roof space of a detached house, could only be reached by removing roof tiles.
The water carrier from Leominster, the incident support unit from Wyre Forest and the welfare vehicle from Tenbury Wells also supported firefighters as they tackled the flames throughout the night.
Three gas cylinders had to be removed from the house while the fire was dealt with, while the National Grid and Cadent Gas have isolated utilities after concerns over electrical and gas lines.
Police have also attended the incident to help with managing traffic in the area.
