WORCESTERSHIRE'S Carpetright stores are set to close as the group set to take over announces which stores it will be keeping open.
Rival retailer Tapi Carpets and Flooring has purchased the company with the deal including the acquisition of just 54 stores meaning over 200 others set to close.
Worcestershire's three stores in Worcester, Evesham, and Redditch are all expected to shut their doors.
Tapi currently operates just one store in the county, on the Elgar Retail Park, Worcester while the city's Carpetright is in the adjacent Blackpole Retail Park.
Zelf Hussain, joint administrator for PwC, said: "Carpetright has fallen victim to challenges facing many retailers.
"A mixture of factors, including a big reduction in consumer spending due to cost of living pressures, lower home sales and a debilitating cyber attack made it impossible for the business to continue in its current form."
A cyber attack in April meant the company was unable to trade online or in store for a week.
While the purchase of 54 stores has saved 308 jobs, over 1,000 jobs have been lost as a result of the business' collapse.
Tapi have also bought two warehouses, the Carpetright brand and its intellectual property as part of a pre-pack administration deal.
