A VILLAGE school where pupils '"cheer in excitement" and have "aspirational careers" has received a new Ofsted rating.

There were celebrations at Hindlip CE First School, near Fernhill Heath, after it was rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.

The last time the school on the A38 between Worcester and Droitwich was rated was in 2012 when it also received an outstanding rating.

Hindlip CE First School is run by executive headteacher Alex Gromski and head of school Josh Uren.

Executive headteacher Mr Gromski said: "I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in achieving this recognition.

"The school remains dedicated to providing high-quality education in a caring and nurturing environment, guided by strong Christian values."

Ofsted praised the school for its unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where pupils are enthusiastic about attending school.

It had commented on how reception pupils cheer whenever a fellow child gets an answer right and each child has aspirational career goals.

The report added: "Parents responding to the survey were extremely grateful for the lengths that the school goes to to meet their children’s needs.

"The school has conducted an extensive audit of personal development.

"Each class gains an extensive, rich experience of clubs and activities.

"Uptake is very high, including for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND. The school promotes diversity through Indian dance, visits to places of worship and links with Uganda.

"Pupils promote social justice through food parcels for homeless shelters. In addition, the school consistently promotes aspirational careers."

It also said staff appreciated the school's measures to lessen their workload, and staff well-being is high on the agenda.

Ofsted gave the school no areas of improvement.

Chair of Governors Andy Clarke expressed pride and gratitude, noting that the outstanding rating is a testament to the school community's hard work, dedication, and passion and the wider school federation.

He added: "Mr Gromski, Mr Uren and the team have succeeded in retaining this rating since the previous inspection in 2012, a rare achievement nationally.

"This reflects their passion for developing all pupils' full potential, both academically and socially."
