A lido in Worcestershire has been named among the best in a list which highlights the top 20 outdoor swimming pools and lidos in the UK.
The Telegraph’s list features outdoor swimming pools and lidos located across the UK including Thames Lido in Reading, Thermae Bath Spa in Bath, Tooting Bec Lido in South London and more.
Droitwich Spa Lido in Worcestershire also features on the list and is praised for its “space” as it boasts a 40-metre pool.
What The Telegraph said about Droitwich Spa Lido
The Telegraph said: “Another modernised pool dating from the 1930s, this one offers lots of space (40-metre pool), a children’s wet play area, sun terraces and a Lido Café.
“Repairs have recently taken place to one of Britain’s last remaining inland, open-air saltwater pools.”
The lido asks that bookings be made in advance but if it's not a hot day, staff will try to accommodate walk-ins.

One reviewer said: “I am travelling in my campervan and was desperate for a swim, but the weather had been awful. Saw Droitwich Spa Lido was nearby, and booked for the 6pm adults only session. It was a beautiful evening, and the outdoor swim was perfect. It was lovely swimming outdoors in this 40m, salt water lido looking up at the trees and sky.

“It wasn't too busy, so easy to swim, and the changing rooms and showers are decent and clean. I'd been involved in the campaign to reopen the lido in the town I lived in, and DSL shows what is possible. Well worth a visit with our without a family.”
Another commented: “Love Droitwich Lido - you feel as though you've been on holiday!
Yes it was a cool day but when the sun came out, amazing The 2hr bookings really work and time to enjoy some coffees & snacks at Little Al's.”
