A SPLASHPAD in Worcester has 'temporarily closed' today (July 19), with temperatures planned to potentially reach 30 degrees.
Worcester City Council has confirmed that the splashpad in Gheluvelt Park has been closed.
The splashpad, the only one in the city is popular with families, particularly on hot days such as today, and is closed due to a technical fault.
Only yesterday, a city council spokesperson confirmed that the splashpad would remain open throughout the ongoing "mini heatwave".
The facility should have been open between 11am and 6pm.
The council has apologised for the inconvenience.
