A national pub chain has confirmed it now owns the former Laura Ashley site in the city centre.
Wetherspoons, which owns The Crown pub and hotel on Broad Street, has confirmed it now has control of the neighbouring unit which once belonged to fashion brand Laura Ashley.
Wetherspoons spokesman, Eddie Gershon, said: "The company owns the site next to its pub, The Crown, and is considering its options on what to do with the site."
Wetherspoons has extended its outside seating area to the front of the unit, which has been empty since 2020.
