A CAR sales company has issued a warning after becoming aware of someone impersonating them. 

Pershore Motor Group, who have sites in Pershore, Evesham and Kidderminster, issued the warning on Facebook on July 15.

The company had been informed that someone was impersonating them on Facebook and offering Bitcoin investments.

In a post on Facebook, Pershore Motor Group said: "We have been made aware that someone is impersonating our Facebook page and contacting people regarding offers and Bitcoin investments.

"Please be aware that Pershore Motor Group would never message you about offers or anything related to Bitcoin.

"What to do, do not engage: If you receive any such messages, do not respond.

"Report it: report the impersonating page to Facebook immediately.

"Do not accept friend requests: As a business page we won’t send you a friend request, do not accept it.

"Contact us: If you're unsure about any communication you receive from us, please contact us directly through our verified page or call us.

"Your safety and trust are our top priorities. Stay vigilant and thank you for your continued support."

Pershore Motor Group has been approached for further comment.
