A Worcestershire recruitment firm is supporting a Bristol initiative that provides jobs and educational opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
Pineapple Recruitment, a job specialist for the UK's hospitality and catering sectors, has partnered with Bristol Future Talent Partnership.
The partnership helps young individuals from black and ethnic minority backgrounds between 14 and 21 by providing job opportunities and career breaks.
In addition to providing experience in the field, the Pineapple team also lent their time free of charge at a recent event.
They supported ten young individuals on improving their CVs, finding and applying for appropriate roles, and honing their interview skills.
Kasia Krieger, business manager from Pineapple Recruitment, said: "We work with hundreds of job candidates every day across the country, so it was such an easy decision to join the Bristol Future Talent Partnership and throw our support behind what we know is a wonderful initiative."
Ms Krieger also expressed her hope that their involvement will prepare local youth for their future careers.
She noted that CV building and interview guidance will be critical components of their support.
She discussed Pineapple’s experience working with youths and ethnic minorities in other regions in the South West, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
The company aims to extend its supportive role, helping as many individuals as possible.
Ms Krieger concluded, saying: "We look forward to celebrating their successes in the months and years ahead."
Acknowledging Pineapple's contribution, Kirsten Hambly from Bristol Future Talent Partnership said: "I want to say a big thank you to Kasia and the team at Pineapple Recruitment for giving their time and sharing their knowledge and expertise with the young people it really will help make a difference when they are applying and going for job interviews."
