A MAN in his 20s was rescued by fire crews after being trapped under a lift at the Aldi in Worcester.
The fire crews helped to rescue the man from under the machinery at the store on Pheasant Street, Lowesmoor, before he was left in the care of the police and ambulance service.
Three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Worcester and one from Hereford Fire Stations – were called at 5:43pm last night (July 16).
The mans condition is currently unknown, however, a police statement last night said he had been seriously injured.

The store was closed and a police cordon was put in place following the incident.
Police officers remained at the scene for the remainder of the evening.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A man in his 20s was released after being trapped under a lift and handed over to the care of the air ambulance who attended with the ambulance service and police.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.52pm."
Eyewitness Steven Collins said a police van had left where the front passenger was wearing a forensic white suit.
We have contacted West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Mercia Police and Aldi for further comment but haven't received a reply.
