WORCESTER pubs were packed for the Euro 2024 football final between Spain and England.
But it would end on a sombre note for England fans as Gareth Southgate's side fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
In a tournament of dramatic finishes - particularly for England - it was Spain's Mikel Oyarzabel who clinched the winner in the 86th minute after England had battled back from a goal down through Cole Palmer's stunning left-footed finish.
As expected, pubs, bars, and clubs across Worcester were packed ahead of Sunday's night's much anticipated game.
South of the city centre, Harvester Timberdine was amongst those that were brimming with England fans hours before the Three Lions' 8pm kick off.
General manager, Stuart Band, told us that Harvester's indoor bar area and outdoor fan zone, complete with a giant screen, was at full capacity for the occasion.
He said: "I've been really surprised by how busy we have been, not just tonight, but for many of England's games across the tournament.
"But a big factor has been the amount of support given by our local community in St Peter's."

Positioned in Harvester Timberdine's fan zone, England fans Hannah Snape and Lydia Rainey echoed Mr Band's sentiments regarding the community.
Lydia Rainey said: "There has been a great atmosphere here, and the DJ and music in the fan zone has added to that."
City centre venue Mode, and the adjoining Tramps nightclub, have been popular spots throughout England's Euro 2024 campaign too.
Ahead of kick off, Mode's marketing manager, Max Tilley, said: "Mode is full tonight, with about 200 people booked onto tables.
"We had 1,400 general admission tickets available for Tramps too, and they were sold out by 8:30am on Thursday (July 11)."
Chloe Farmer was booked into Mode alongside her friends for England's clash with Spain, and said they had returned to the venue again and again across the tournament.
She added: "There has always been a really great atmosphere here, for every single England game, so it's the best place to be."
