BRITAIN's ancient residents have returned in a new exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum.
Dinosaurs on the doorstep opened on Saturday (July 13), with crowds of visitors eager to see the new display.
One person in attendance was Cllr Mel Allcott, the new Mayor of Worcester, who enjoyed the exhibit: "I think it's fantastic," she said.
"It's accessible and free for all to visit, which is so important.
"I have to give credit to everyone who's helped put this together, I'm very impressed and very proud."
The exhibition features several real fossils from millions of years ago, as well as replicas of fossils.
All items on display in the museum were found in the UK.
Helen Large, museum audience manager, said: "We've been really busy from opening, with people queuing before 10am.
"It can be difficult to find things to do in the summer, but the families are having a lovely time.
"It's great to see the mayor down here supporting us."
Choir group Got 2 Sing performed a flash mob of Tina Turner's 'Simply the best' with a slight dinosaur-themed twist, with the words becoming 'simply the Rex'.
The museum will also host events such as the Dino Disco and Museum After Hours throughout the summer.
Dinosaurs on the Doorstep is open between 10am and 4pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays and 10am to 3pm on Sundays until September 8.
