THE future of three Worcestershire branches of flooring retailers Carpetright looks uncertain after a major announcement from parent company, Nestware Holdings.
The retailer confirmed it had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, which usually gives a company up to 10 days to avoid insolvency.
Carpetright currently operates stores in Worcester, Evesham and Redditch, which will continue to operate as normal during this period of uncertainty.
The company has suffered from weaker demand for carpets as a preference for hard floors began to emerge, as well as a major cyberattack in April which halted trading for a week.
Across the UK, Carpetright owns 272 stores with over 1,800 jobs at risk from this appointment.
