A plan for 40 new homes in Kempsey has taken a major step forward after the land was acquired by a local developer.
Property developer Cotswold Oak Ltd has purchased the site, which is located off Brookend Lane and will comprise 40 market and affordable homes once the development is completed.
Cotswold Oak Ltd's managing director, Russell Thompson, said: "It has been a real pleasure working with the Richborough team in our acquisition of the site in Kempsey.
"They were very professional but also helpful during the process, and we are looking forward to bringing 40 new homes to the market."
The homes will be built in a mixture of shapes and sizes, whilst the development will also feature a collection of green spaces and natural play areas that are fully accessible to the public.
Mr Thompson added: "We hope to do lots more business with Richborough in the future after this great experience."
Land promotion firm Richborough assisted with the planning process and helped facilitate the purchase from the site's original landowner, announcing Cotswold Oak Ltd as the project's new development partner after "a very competitive tender process".
Richborough's disposals director, Hannah Deverell, said: "Congratulations to Cotswold Oak and the landowner on this exciting sale.
"We are especially pleased that Cotswold Oak is Worcestershire-based and can’t wait to see the new homes taking shape.
"Huge thanks go to our in-house team and supporting consultants for their efforts in bringing this scheme forward, including our planning, technical and urban design specialists.
"The fact that we secured this sale just eight weeks after receiving planning permission is testament to its high quality."

Estate agents Avison Young acted on behalf of the landowner during the process, and their principal, Andrew Moss, said: "We are delighted with the outcome of the disposal following the successful promotion of the site by Richborough with planning support provided by Avison Young.
"Richborough’s highly professional and informed approach has enabled value to be maximised and the delivery of much-needed family homes against a backdrop of challenging market conditions.”
Malvern Hills District Council granted outline planning permission for the development back in May.
