DESIGNS submitted to the council show what an escape room potentially coming to Cathedral Square could look like.

Plans to open an Escape Hunt in Cathedral Plaza were revealed last month.

It would occupy an empty unit between Miller and Carter and Cosy Club on the second floor of the shopping centre.

Further advertising plans show the front of the venue could have a geometric orange and black design with ‘City Hunts’, ‘Escape Rooms’ and ‘Gifting’ written on the windows.

The unit in question has had permission for use as a restaurant since 2014 but has remained vacant.

Plans have been submitted to Worcester City Council for a change of use and, if approved, would see the venue operate an “interactive live game for groups of 2-6 people”.

“Players will have up to a total of 60 minutes to accomplish the game by solving several sequenced logic problems,” according to planning documents.

Escape Hunt already runs venues in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Reading.

These offer a variety of games including escape rooms based in the venue, virtual reality adventures, and experiences that take players out and about in the city.
