NEW photos show the Kepax Bridge as you have not seen it before from both air and water with two sections now spanning the river as the project takes shape.

Workers on the Kepax Bridge project today fixed deck sections together on an extendable platform from the floating pontoon whilst the main crane takes the strain.

The cable stays are then added for support. Meanwhile, a safety boat escorts river traffic past the construction site.

Worcestershire County Council also used X (formerly Twitter) to share a dramatic aerial photo of the bridge which will connect Gheluvelt Park in Barbourne to the St John's side of the river.

A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "Fantastic drone photo of the progress at Kepax Bridge, Worcester courtesy of Allerton Steel, subcontractor to Alun Griffiths.

"Another deck section has been added since this picture was taken; weather permitting, the final section will be lifted into place tomorrow (Wednesday)."
