A DRIVER has been caught speeding by automatic cameras on a motorway near Worcester.
Carl Bates was caught speeding on the M5 motorway northbound in an Audi between junction 5 (Droitwich) and 4a (near Catshill).
The 37-year-old of The Quadrant, Dudley, West Midlands, had his case heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 27.
He was caught exceeding the 50mph variable speed limit by an automatic camera device on November 28 last year.
It was proved via the single justice procedure on June 27. He was fined £440, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £176 and costs of £90.
A collection order was made, giving the court extra powers to recover the money.
His diving record was endorsed with four penalty points.
