PEOPLE have been urged to plan ahead of the Worcester Carnival with a raft of road closures planned during the showpiece event.
The carnival parade will begin at 3pm on Saturday, July 6 and will entertain onlookers in Worcester city centre for around two hours.
The Worcester carnival parade will begin and end at the carnival village at Worcester Racecourse.
From there, it will turn left at Croft Road before turning onto Castle Street and then onto Foregate Street.

The parade will then make its way through the Cross and onto the High Street, before turning left onto Pump Street and then right onto City Walls Road.
After turning onto College Street and then onto Deansway, the carnival showpiece will turn left onto North Parade Street and then back onto Croft Road, where it will head towards the finish point.
All roads involved in the carnival parade will be closed from 2pm- one hour before it starts- until 5pm.
Worcester Bridge, The Butts, Sansome Street, City Walls Road and Deansway will also be closed during that time.
A Worcester Carnival spokesperson has advised visitors to the parade to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
All First Worcester bus services running in and out of Worcester City Centre will be starting and terminating in different locations between 2pm and 5pm.
Crowngate Bus Station will also be closed during that time, meaning no services will arrive or depart there between these times.
For Diamond, there will be no departures from Crowngate between 1.30pm and 5pm.
As well as the parade, the Worcester Carnival Village will be open from 11am until 7pm for people to enjoy.
At the carnival village, there will be funfair rides, live music and craft, food, and drink stalls set up by local charities, artisans, and producers.
