With the summer upon us, strawberry picking season is now in full flight.
There are plenty of farm shops in Worcester's surrounds that offer visitors the opportunity to explore and pick their own fruit - and nothing suits the warm weather better than a punnet of fresh strawberries.
Here are three places near Worcester where you can go strawberry picking
Bell's Farm Shop
Based in Stourport on Severn, Bell's Farm Shop has 40 acres worth of fruits and vegetables that visitors can explore.
The shop has been inviting visitors to pick their own strawberries since June, with no requirement to book ahead and availability seven days a week from 9am until 5pm.
Bell's Farm Shop was a 'PYO of the Year' finalist in 2022's Farm Retail Association Awards.
Address: Chadwick Bank, Stourport on Severn, DY13 9SA.
Clive's Farm Shop
Located just outside Upton upon Severn, the pick-your-own fields at Clive's Farm Shop are open to visitors from Monday to Saturday each week.
The strawberries here are grown in polytunnels, so even if the weather takes a turn for the worse, you can stay dry.
Clive's Farm Shop also boasts its own coffee shop and butchery, whilst it crafts juices and cider at its own Juice Shed.
Address: Upper Hook Road, Upton upon Severn, WR8 0SA.
Stanleys Farm Shop
Set north of Harvington, the pick-your-own strawberry patch at Stanleys Farm Shop opened in June as the season went into full swing.
The Stanley family has worked on the 250-acre Fisher Castle Farm for more than 75 years and offer plenty of fruit and vegetable picking opportunities throughout the year.
There's no need to book ahead for strawberry picking, and visitors can enjoy a selection of drinks, pastries, sandwiches, and cakes at the on-site café - Nom Nom Caboose.
Address: Fisher Castle Farm, Sandy Lane, Harvington, Kidderminster, DY10 4NF
