Uncertainty surrounds the iconic sporting venue, which suffered multiple floods over the winter.
A motion submitted by Cllr John Rudge will be considered at a full council meeting next Tuesday (July 9).

It urges the council to lobby the government for funding to ensure the long-term future of the cricket club at New Road, as it is “vital for the future of a successful city”.
The motion calls for Worcester’s new MP to raise the matter in Parliament and for Worcester City Council managing director David Blake to write to the chief executive of the Environment Agency for support.
Cllr Rudge also wants the council to continue working with the cricket club’s board and the county council to “ensure the long-term sustainability of WCCC in the city of Worcester”.
