A FIRE broke out in a nature reserve in Worcester.
Firefighters were called to reports of a small fire in Perry Wood yesterday (July 2) evening.
The crew found the fire had been extinguished but continued to dampen down the area to prevent it from reigniting.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 7.22pm on July 2 to a fire in the open in Perry Wood, Worcester.
"A small fire in the open had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service and the area was dampened down using a hosereel jet.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended."
