Its practices were recently examined by the CQC across five key areas: safety, effectiveness, care quality, response time, and leadership.

The facility achieved a 'Good' rating in each category.

The CQC’s report stated that the staff worked closely with residents, their families, and external partner agencies with the aim of providing a holistic approach to care.

During the inspection, the respectful and kind nature of the staff towards the residents was observed.

It became evident that residents had control and choice across all aspects of their care and support.

The flexible approach of the staff allows them to adapt to meet individual needs each day, which extends to supporting residents’ social activities as well as their personal care.

The feedback from residents and their families indicated that the facility was a safe space for support.

The report said that staff made sure all views were considered when making decisions.

One resident said: "Management is very good here.

"I feel that they listen to me."

Sara Brown, local service manager for the facility, said: "I am so proud of my team for achieving a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC.

"They work hard to provide the very best service for our customers every day, so that our customers can live the independent lives they deserve, and it’s wonderful to see their efforts being recognised."
