POLICE have stayed in a "quiet" street in Droitwich for over 24 hours after an incident.
Neighbours said there had been a large emergency service presence in Chestnut Spinney yesterday night (Monday) and since have seen several police cars and forensics in their cul-de-sac.
Residents said police have been on the road since around 4am on June 1 and remain there today.
Worcester News has contacted West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
One neighbour said: "It began with an ambulance, which was out there for some time, and then two police cars, and then another came and then it became a crime scene.
"A car has been there all day and all night.
"It is definitely scary as there has been a police presence for over 24 hours."
Other neighbours said they do not know what happened, but detectives have been around to ask them questions.
Many have recalled seeing a constant stream of police vehicles coming down the road.
Another said: "Nothing ever happens in this little close, so it has got to be serious.
"I don't know how I feel, in all honesty.
"We have been told it is serious."
