A private hospital in Worcester has been given the go-ahead to put hundreds of solar panels on its roof.

Spire Southbank Hospital in Bath Road will be installing 239 solar panels after getting permission from the city council.

Cllr Louis Stephen has supported the application, saying: “These solar panels will make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. This supports the city's goal of achieving net zero by 2030.”

Neighbour Haleema Sharif said they supported the hospital’s use of renewable energy but raised concerns over the potential noise that could be caused by the installation.
