Four trees in the grounds of a masonic hall in Worcester are to be cut down.
Worcester Masonic Centre in Rainbow Hill has been given permission to remove three sycamores and one horse chestnut tree.
It is carrying out some pruning work on a horse chestnut, a common ash, a plum tree and a Norway maple.
Worcester City Council approved the plans, saying the plum tree is in contact with the building so needs to be cut back to prevent damage.
Planning officer Paul Round added: “The site has a significant tree population so I do not feel replacements for the four trees to be removed is necessary.”
