A LAGER brewed by television presenter Jeremy Clarkson is now on sale at a Worcester pub and is outselling other lagers as the landlord says 'Jezza' is always welcome to pop in for a pint.
The King Charles House in New Street in Worcester took its first delivery of Hawkstone Lager yesterday with 'Jeremy's lager' motoring ahead of its competitors.
Darren Yong, landlord of the King Charles, described it as a 'crafty lager' with a hoppy flavour.
He said: "It's for the people who like a bit of flavour. We are selling it for at least the next 12 months. Hawkstone only arrived yesterday and it's already outselling the other lagers."
He said selling the lager was great publicity for the pub and the chance for the King Charles to be chosen as pub of the week when they give the winning pub two extra barrels of the lager.

Mr Yong said: "If Jeremy Clarkson comes here, he's welcome to a pint."
Mr Clarkson, 64, is best known for the motoring programmes Top Gear and The Grand Tour and co-hosts the reality show Clarkson's Farm.
Since 2021, he has become a farmer at Diddly Squat Farm which is the focus of the hit show.
Mr Clarkson has also extolled the virtues of Hawkstone on X, formerly Twitter, in which he said: "British beer made with British stuff grown by British farmers."

According to Hawkstone Lager 'only the highest quality malted barley can be used and only after it has passed a series of stringent quality tests'.
A spokesperson said on the Hawkstone Lager website: "The result is a unique, quality tasting lager that vindicates the extra time and effort invested: a lager that’s hard to make but easy to drink."
The Hawkstone Arms is a bar at the brewery at College Farm, Stow Road, Bourton-on-the-Water.
