A Worcestershire canal boat ride has been named one of the UK’s best by The Telegraph.
Introducing the list, the newspaper said: “The UK’s artificial waterways may be in crisis, but these hidden gems have long provided a taste of a truly British holiday”.
The Droitwich Canal features in the list and is highlighted for being the best option for an eco-friendly cruise.

The Telegraph said: “The Droitwich Canal is the newest restored canal in Britain, reopened in 2011 after being left abandoned.
“This seven-mile, 16-lock canal links the Severn with the Worcester and Birmingham Canal.
“A circular route taking in the spa town of Droitwich and the riverside cathedral city of Worcester includes peaceful river and canal cruising, countryside and market towns.”
The newspaper explained that Cafwin Cruises is the place to book if you’re looking for an eco-friendly cruise.

“Arthur Owl was very comfortable, lots of room, with all the features you could wish for including a dishwasher, two TVs, excellent kitchen area, lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bow cabin bed.
“Very easy to handle and the best handover we’ve ever had from John, who watched us go through the first three locks. Superb support from Catherine for the few minor questions we had. Thanks to the Cafwin team!”
