FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a house after a BBQ caught fire in the early evening.
The fire service was called to a home in Shrubbery Avenue yesterday (June 25) after a gas cylinder for a BBQ caught fire.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 6.18pm on June 25 to cylinders on fire at a house in Shrubbery Avenue, Worcester.
"An LPG cylinder for a barbecue was on fire and had been extinguished by turning off before the arrival of the fire service.
"A thermal imaging camera as used to check for hot spots and the cylinder was removed to a place of safety."
