A PRIMARY school in Worcester could be graded outstanding in its next inspection according to Ofsted.
Perry Wood Primary and Nursery School headteacher Suzanne Beston said she is over the moon after a recent Ofsted inspection could have graded the school as outstanding.
The school is currently rated as good, however, Ofsted visited for an ungraded inspection on May 14 and 15.
The Ofsted report said: " There has been no change to this school’s overall judgement of good as a result of this ungraded inspection.
"However, the evidence gathered suggests that the inspection grade might be outstanding if a graded inspection were carried out now."
Mrs Beston, who has been headteacher for the last six years, said: "I am very proud of the staff and the whole school community.
"The school knows what children need and supports them to succeed in the next stage of their lives.
"Our children have an amazing experience and that's what Ofsted has recognised.
"We are so much more than an average primary school and it's lovely to see children excited and ready to engage, it's a testament to our teachers."
Good rated schools are visited around every four years by Ofsted to confirm that the standard of education has not changed.
Ofsted will return to Perry Wood sooner than expected as if inspectors find evidence that the school could be graded higher, the school will be visited within the next two years.
The Ofsted report said: "By the time pupils leave the Perry Wood Primary School, they achieve exceptionally well.
"They acquire a passion for reading and mathematics.
"There is a learning buzz in classrooms.
"The school has adopted a curriculum that is ambitious for all pupils.
"The curriculum is meticulously planned and sequenced so that pupils build the knowledge and skills needed for future success."
The school is on an upward trajectory as it achieved its first good rating in 2019.
The report acknowledged that pupils lived up to the school ethos, 'roots to grow, wings to fly'.
The Ofsted report continued: "The school's social, moral, spiritual and cultural offer is of high quality. Pupils learn about different religions including Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism.
"Visits from the local mayor and a member of parliament help pupils to understand democracy.
"Pupils learn that they have a voice and they share their views through their pupil ambassador roles.
"Their views are listened to and considered.
"All this means that pupils are exceptionally well-prepared for life in modern Britain."
