A LAMB has been rescued from water by firefighters near Worcester.
The fire crew had to commandeer a private vessel as they were unable to launch their own boat to perform the rescue.
Firefighters took just under two hours to rescue the animal.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Upton-upon-Severn Fire Station plus the station’s water first responders and boat crew from Worcester were called at 2.55pm on June 23 to the rescue of a small animal at Pixham, Callow End.
"A lamb was rescued by fire service personnel using a private vessel as they were unable to launch the service boat.
"The lamb was released onto land."
