A TOPLESS man was arrested after running through gardens with a weapon.

He was seen climbing over walls and running through gardens on Henwick Road in St John's which had sparked a police response.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a concern for welfare at around 8.55pm on Friday evening (June 21).

"He was later released without charge."

Photos showed a topless man climbing over a wall and a man, believed to be the same individual, being apprehended by a number of police officers in the street.

Other images show at least two police cars on blue lights near Barrington House, the University of Worcester guest house, and The Wheatsheaf Inn. It is understood the incident had nothing to do with the pub itself.

A witness said: "The police incident was unrelated to the pub. There was a guy running through people's gardens topless and being quite a threat to local residents."
