PEOPLE have been warned to expect scorching temperatures over the next few days after a health weather warning was issued.
The yellow heat health alert is in place across the West Midlands and will remain in place until Thursday at 5pm.
Residents are expected to see minor impacts across the health and social care sector, the Gov.UK website has warned.
A spokesperson said: "Minor impacts are probable across the health and social care sector.
"These include increased use of healthcare services by the vulnerable population and an increase in the risk of mortality amongst vulnerable individuals.
"There is also an increased potential for indoor environments to become very warm."
